Total War: Warhammer 3 DLC Release on April

Warhammer 3 DLC immortal empires

Last year, Total War: Warhammer 3, the popular turn-based strategy game, received two new DLC add-ons. The first one, called Immortal Empires, was a free expansion that added a lot of content to the game, making it more expansive. The second DLC, called Champions of Chaos, was a paid expansion that introduced four legendary lords who led the Warriors of Chaos factions, as well as a campaign that was snappier and more focused.

Fans of the game have been eagerly awaiting news of more DLC, particularly after data miners discovered voice files that suggested the Chaos Dwarfs might be added to the game.

To update fans on what’s in store for 2023 and why it’s taking longer than planned, Total War: Warhammer 3’s game director, Rich Aldridge, posted a video message on the game’s Twitter feed. The message provided some insights into the upcoming DLC and explained the reasons for the delay in its release.

“We knew that we needed to get Immortal Empires to you in the best possible state,” said Aldridge, “and that’s where we focused all of our efforts last year. Making sure that we’ve got a great foundation going forward through Immortal Empires, but also in patching Warhammer 3 itself and getting it to the state we need it to be to add new content and experiences later this year and beyond.”

Although Aldridge didn’t provide details about the “new content and experiences,” he did announce the release date for the first DLC. “We’ll be able to share that with you come April,” he said, adding that it’s a “passion project” the team wanted to perfect before its release. He also revealed that two more “exciting experiences” are planned for later this year, with one scheduled for the summer and the other for winter.

The lack of news from Creative Assembly about the DLC plans for Total War: Warhammer 3 has been a concern for players, and Aldridge acknowledged that. He explained that the team wants to be clear and specific about their plans but can only do so once they’re confident in them. Their goal is to create content that excites and does not disappoint, and they’re passionate about making great content that players can enjoy for years to come. While they’re moving as quickly as possible, there may be times when it doesn’t seem that way, and Aldridge asked players to be patient and understanding.
