Bethesda has finally revealed their latest addition to the Doom franchise, Mighty Doom. But this time, it’s not for PC or consoles. Instead, the new mobile game features the fan-favorite protagonist, the Doomslayer, or Mini Slayer as he’s adorably called. This top-down game is packed with the usual running, gunning, and demon-slaying action that Doom is famous for, but now you can direct his wrath with just the touch of your fingers.
In Mighty Doom, players can look forward to working their way through hordes of adorably violent demons, iconic levels, and challenging bosses as they level up. The game also allows you to unlock powerful skills and upgrade your weapons in the process. You’ll notice that the Mini Slayer has a more charming and cute design compared to his previous 2016 and Doom Eternal counterparts. And thanks to the demon dolls that stole his beloved pet rabbit, Daisy, his thirst for violence knows no bounds.
The game also comes with an added twist of having a roguelite design, so you should expect to die often, only to rise back up and steadily grow more powerful. With the game set to launch on March 21, it is being developed by the Nova Scotia-based studio, Alpha Dog Games.
Interestingly, Mighty Doom is the second recent mobile game release that features an iconic character running through dangerous locations and facing off against a gauntlet of enemies. Tomb Raider Reloaded is also now available for Netflix subscribers, offering players even more opportunities for mobile gaming fun.
