Top 10 SEGA Genesis games

The SEGA Genesis was a 16-bit video game console that was released in 1988. It was the third console released by SEGA, following the SG-1000 and the Master System, and it was a major competitor to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

The SEGA Genesis was known for its strong lineup of games, which included a mix of arcade ports, original titles, and sports games. Some of the most popular games for the SEGA Genesis include Sonic the Hedgehog, a fast-paced platformer featuring a blue hedgehog named Sonic and his quest to defeat the evil Dr. Eggman; Phantasy Star IV, a role-playing game set in a science fiction world with a rich story and turn-based combat; and Street Fighter II, a classic fighting game that helped to popularize the genre and set the standard for future games.

The SEGA Genesis also had a number of accessories, including a CD-ROM add-on called the SEGA CD, which allowed players to play CD-based games and watch movies, and a 32-bit add-on called the SEGA 32X, which increased the capabilities of the console and allowed it to play 32-bit games.

As proud 90’s kids, we have decided to compile a list of our own top 10 SEGA Genesis games. Please keep in mind that these are our personal favorites and we understand that everyone has their own unique list of top games for the SEGA Genesis.
