As we enter 2023, Bethesda’s upcoming AAA games have generated a buzz among gaming enthusiasts worldwide. With titles like Starfield and Redfall in the pipeline, it appears that Bethesda is on track to clinch the coveted Game of the Year award. However, the question on everyone’s mind is, which of these games will finally get released, and when?
While the company’s game release schedule seems promising, there have been some hiccups along the way. For instance, Starfield, which was initially slated to launch in Q4 of 2022, was delayed until Q1 of 2023. However, it’s already Q1 of 2023, and there’s still no official release date for the game. Starfield is supposed to be Bethesda’s first “new world” in 25 years, and its multiple delays have left fans feeling impatient. This situation is reminiscent of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, which was also plagued with delays and technical glitches upon release.
On the other hand, Redfall, developed by Arkane Austin, is set to be released on May 2, 2023, barring any further delays. This open-world co-op FPS looks promising and is expected to be a hit among casual gamers. Although Redfall experienced some delays, it now has an official release date, unlike Starfield, which is still up in the air.
Bethesda has other titles in the works as well, such as The Elder Scrolls VI, Fallout 5, and Indiana Jones. While these games are not expected to see the light of day in 2023, there’s always the possibility of them making an appearance after the release of Starfield and Redfall. Both of these games are sequels to award-winning titles published by Bethesda, and it’s only natural for fans to have high expectations.
As a fan of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, I’m eagerly anticipating their next iterations. However, I hope Bethesda will speed things up with Fallout 5, as waiting three years for the next episode might be too much to handle.
